We are proud of our language skills and cultural links at school, which add to those we already have in our home life. 

Our current activities include:-

• Activity days to celebrate our Mother Languages and Cultural events such as Eid, Christmas and Chinese New Year Parties
   
• Developing close ties with schools around the world. Our Nursery class has established ties with a  Nursery in Japan
   
• Children in years 4, 5 and 6 exchange letters and powerpoints with children from another school in Spain.
   
• We offer Spanish language lessons to all children from Nursery to Y6 . They will learn speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and covering topics such as family, pets, counting, the planets and recycling.
   
• We have had visits from native speakers from Uruguay and Spain whom the children have interviewed in Spanish. There is a display board in the Hall showing some of the children’s written work.
