20th May 2020
I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
I am writing this on the last day of the school term and year. What a strange year it has been. I don't think any of us could ever have predicted what was ahead of us when we started the year, back in September!
I am profoundly grateful for the hard work and support of everyone from our St James' community - children, parents, staff and governors. While this has certainly been one of the most testing times I have ever experienced in school, the way everyone has come together has been a joy to watch.
September will roll round soon enough and I am delighted that we will be welcoming all children back to school for the new school year. It won't be easy and I am sure we will have more challenges to face but I am comforted by the thought that we will face them together.
I hope you all manage to have a good summer and look forward to seeing you all again in September.
Take care (and wash your hands!)
