Remote Learning Update
Following the Prime Minister's announcement on the 4th of January of a National Lockdown, St James' is currently providing Remote Education to the majority of our children. This can be found through Google Classroom. Each child has a username and password that they can use to log in. If you have lost your please email Mrs Yamawaki and she can provide you with these details.

Children attending School
St James' is open to children of families who are classed as Key Workers and those designated as Vulnerable.
Key Worker Family Information
If you are a Key Worker and would like to request that your child attends school please do so using this form: https://forms.gle/JcUnTvyEDqLSTvWc6
You must wait until you receive confirmation from us before your child/ren start attending.
Due to the extremely high numbers of requests for places that we have recieved and the need to maintain our Covid-Secure safeguards, please note that places at school for the children of Key Workers are not guaranteed. We are doing our very best to support as many families as possible.
We will review every Key Worker request at 2pm each day. If we are able to accommodate your child we will contact you to confirm this. Requests received after 2pm will be considered the following day. You must request a place using the online form above.
If anyone in your family has any symptoms of Coronavirus at all please make sure that all family members stay at home. If anyone in the household has symptoms or has taken a test for Coronavirus then children from that house should be kept at home and not sent into school.

Face Coverings and Masks
Government guidance remains that Face Coverings and Masks are not recommended for use in Primary Schools. Children below the age of 11 are not required to wear Face Masks in required settings.
We understand, however, that some members of our community feel that they should wear a Face Mask or feel safer wearing one. Please contact us if this is something you would like to talk with us about.

Good hygiene is essential in helping our community at this time. Please wash your hands regularly, for at least 20 seconds, using soap and water.
Stay at home if you have either:
- high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
- if you have symptoms of coronavirus, you'll need to stay at home for 7 days
- if you live with someone who has symptoms, you'll need to stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person in the home started having symptoms
