Reading at home
Please ensure you are reading for at least 15 minutes a day. Make sure your Collins ebook is being read with an adult at least 5 times a week.
Also, your child brings home a banded book (recognsied by the coloured sticker on it) and a choosing book each week. These should be in their book bag everyday, but will be changed each Friday. Happy reading!

In English we will be looking at performance poetry. Pupils will study a range of poems, learning to recognise key features, such as rhyming words and adjectives. Pupils will work towards writing their own animal poems, inspired by their recent science topics (Animals inc humans), and then perform their poems. Pupils will work on their spoken language, working hard to use prosody and actions/facial expressions to entertain their audience. In Maths we will be looking at: -Place value (to 20) -addition and subtraction within 20 -Time (telling time to the hour) |
