Greetings from the Friends of St. James'
The Friends of St James' is a group made up of parents and friends from the school and the local community.
We meet on Friday mornings in the Community Room (next to Y1) from 9am until around 10.30am. We are an informal group and love having new members join us. there is free tea and coffee and usually someone brings something sweet to eat. We love organising things to do for the children and families of our school. Recent events include a Cinema night, a Bollywood night of food and traditional dancing and in the summer we run a fantastic St James Summer Fair. Our aim is to help the school by raising some money to provide exciting opportunities for the school children. With the money raised from our last Summer Fair we have enabled the school to run a trip to the seaside for the whole school! We always welcome new people, love having pre-school children come along to our Friday morning group and can always do with some helping hands at any of our events! If you want any more information about the Friends of St James' group either drop in and see us on a Friday or ask Mrs Yamawaki in the school office. |
