Equality at St. James'St. James' is committed to equality. Our ethos states "Love your neighbour as yourself" and this teaching is central to the idea that we are all equal. We may all be able to achieve different things, we may all have different appearances, we may all have different experiences, but we are all valuable and we should all be valued equally.
We strive to teach this positively at St James' in a range of ways. These include, but are not limited to - circle time with the whole class, pastoral support for vulnerable children, use of Pupil Premium for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, monitoring of all racist and homophobic abuse, support for children with Special Educational Needs, staff training and support.
