Year 2

Welcome back to school and welcome to Year 2! It is a busy half term this half term with lots of new and exciting things to learn! On this page is some information about what we will be studying as well as information for parents.

What's happening this half term?

Tuesday 3rd September - Meet the Teacher - if you were unable to attend, please find the slides below.
Tuesday 10th September - Pirate day! Come to school dressed as a pirate and enjoy map making and a treasure hunt to get you ready for this half term's geography topic all about mapping.

Please continue to read every evening, sign reading records and to bring your bookbag in every day.

Year 2 Gallery!

Information for Parents

PE Kits
We will be doing indoor and outdoor PE every Tuesday afternoon. Please make sure children have a named bag in school every Tuesday. PE kits should stay in school for the whole half term and will be sent home at the end of each half term

Reading Books
Reading books will be changed every Wednesday. Children will get a book of their choice in their bookbags, along with an eBook to read. Reading books should be brought into school each day as we could read with the children at any time. eBooks will be changed on a Tuesday and the previous week's book will remain online alongside their new eBook. eBooks have moved to Collins Hub! Please see your child's homework book for new information and their new log-in details.

Homework
Homework will be given out on a Friday in their orange homework books and is to be returned on a Tuesday. There will be Maths and English homework sheet each week.
