Welcome back to school. We hope you had a fantastic summer break and you are excited about the year ahead in Y5.
Autumn 1 will involve you travelling all the way to South America as part of our geography topic. This will also inspire some of our writing units, which are based on the books 'Ada's Violin' and 'What the Macaw Saw'. We will also be exploring forces in science; designing and making our own musical instruments in DT and coding in computing. You are back to the beginning with our Dojos so your challenge is to achieve 250 dojos that will earn you your bronze badge by the end of Autumn 2. As always, remember to read every evening and ask an adult at home to sign your reading record - every time you read you gain extra dojos! Take care, Mrs H-D and Mrs Blake |
